Celebrate Independence Day at the state capital! Join Michael Smith, candidate for Delaware State Treasurer, as we march in Dover's 4th of July Parade — right past the reviewing stand on Legislative Avenue. We need volunteers to walk with us along the parade route and represent Team Smith to the thousands of spectators who come out for Dover's biggest celebration of the year. This is the 250th anniversary of American independence, and Dover is going all out with live music, vendors, and fireworks after the parade. Volunteers should arrive at 5:30 PM for check-in at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave and Delaware Ave. The parade steps off at 6:00 PM and runs from Delaware Ave south on State Street, east on Loockerman Street, and finishes on Legislative Avenue. Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes!
